A recital featuring variations and the pieces that inspired their themes: the Brahms Handel variations along with Handel's Suite No. 1 in B flat Major, and the Rachmaninov Corelli variations coupled with Corelli's famous violin variations on the beautiful La Folia theme.

A piano recital exploring the influence of the French Baroque on Impressionist French composers.  The program includes Ravel's Tombeau de Couperin, pieces by Chabrier, who Ravel considered his spiritual master, and three pieces by Fauré, Ravel's teacher.  The program also features works on harpsichord by Rameau and Couperin that inspired the later French masters.

A series of performances of Ligeti's operas Aventures and Nouvelles Aventures with an ensemble conducted by Leon Fleisher at the Kimmel Center in Phildelphia, the 92nd St Y in New York City, and the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C.
